A Master Piece between Sweden and Denmark

Master Piece

This bridge is half under the water, for ships to pass and then again, it comes out on the other side.

Truly a marvelous piece of engineering!
This bridge is between Sweden and Denmark

We visit Virginia Beach on a regular basis and always enjoy the Chesapeake bridge. What you have here is definately a mix of pictures. Chesapeake dips under the sea TWICE, while the aerial view shows a bridge that goes under ONCE.

You are all very close. This is the Monitor/Merrimack Bridge Tunnel that spans between Chesapeake, VA and Newport News, VA on the 664 freeway. It is named after the US civil war battle between iron-clad ships that took place in the vicinity.
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel is even more impressive, with 2 tunnels and 3 bridges covering 20 miles.
